Features like tethering? Opps, Droid won't get that. Or features like multi-tasking? Opps, Gen1 iPhones won't get that with OS4...

As for the updates, yes there were bug fixes in the updates for N900. There were new features too (skype video calls for example). Lots of small features, just like the small feature changes and fixes from 2.0 to 2.1 in Android.
