Well the design is like the iPad, it is much thicker at 19mm and the whole concept is certainly do-able.
I, initially, designed it with the i7+5650 in mind as an Omnia device so people don't need to spend money on a tablet & netbook & notebook & desktop computer.
With the "XTREME" model specs, it is ultraportable (less than iPad but more portable than an ultraportable PC) beast.
With Win7 optimised, it can serve all your legacy, emulation and internet games and billions of Applications. But it is still powerful enough to churn out for those modern games, MW2 anyone?
And the aim of the design was to make it "convertable" into an ultraportable computer.
The specific hardware was my research to find if the aim of the tablet can be fulfilled with the current available technologies or if I had to make specific changes to my design to make it available.
Basically I'm designing something most people would find very good to own over their current devices and not a fantasy device like
The xPhone
!
The pricing and availability was just for fun :P
The point of this exercise is for me to create a tablet concept that is optimized to fulfill what I was aiming for (The Tablet that can displace your notebook) and for you, the interested members of this community, to review the ideas and also provide your own.
