I just bought a new battery from amazon (Nokia branded BL-5J) and I charged it yesterday with the phone off. I turned on the phone when the light turned green at it was at 96% which is normal from what I've experienced from this phone. I used the phone a little and the battery dropped to 90% and it was holding stead for hours, seemed to be a really good battery.

Later on I installed a few apps....Accelemymote GUI, liqflow, and IPTraf Network Monitor and ever since then the wifi has been coming on and the processor was at 100% and the battery was draining VERY fast. In two hours it went from 85% to 40% with no applications open. I've removed the three apps and rebooted. I have autodisconnect installed and no apps open. And the problem continues to occur. What could possible be going on in the background that is draining the battery so much?

I have no widgets running and I'm processor seemed to be pinned at 100%, however I didn't check the processes at that time.

A few hours have passed now (with me staring/watching my N900 relentlessly) and it seems to have improved. Can anyone recommend a good battery charger. I'm going to carry around two from now on.
