Let me try it out on my device...

What I'll do is:

1) Move the favorites file.
2) Start SMM9.
3) See if the favorites are gone.
4) Move it back.
5) Repeat 2+3.
6) Get back to You...

EDIT -> Just tried it out and it worked as expected. When removing the file my favorites were gone. When putting it back in place they re-appeared...

Unless Sygic has decided to save favorites in a new way on SMM10 it should work (tm)...
