I must have missed the poll you ran on this one. Anyway, I don't feel that Windows is complete either, or Linux, or Symbian. Maemo has all the features I need, and the N900 is the best-performing phone I've used (for my requirements).

I dont give a stuff about Nokia supporting Meego on the N900. What I care about is Nokia opening up enough of the software to allow Meego to be run on the N900, with or without support.

As has already been said (multiple times), what the Council can do is report these issues/concerns to Nokia. What the community can do is either write software to work around the issues, write (formal, polite) letters to Nokia execs complaining (and preferably offering suggestions), or vote with their feet (and money) and pick another phone next time.
