I'm no fanboy, but what you people are describing are US carriers that are not interested in selling the N900 on contract. I can think of quite a few reasons for that, but I suspect by far the biggest are handset branding and carrier provided services. The N900 is a difficult beast to lock down - carriers are not going to sell it if they can't customize it. It looks like a phone, but it certainly does not act like one. (We like this, carriers do not) Carrier contract != Nokia
