I agree very much with the spirit of the OP but also defer to gerbick's comments above;

What do we propose as action to balance out the negative views expressed on TMO?

We should also consider our target market for our 'action' (whatever that may be).

Whose minds are we trying to win over?

Our own? - That would suggest we lack courage and conviction of our own actions.

Those who insist on expressing these negative views? - Good Luck with that one!

Potential N900 owners? - I can't see Nokia producing this device for much longer, so that is a dwindling audience.

I agree wholeheartedly that N900 has some excellent qualities and that this forum has entirely too many whinging posts, but cannot really see a way out of this. That's why I mainly drift around this site and peer in & out of threads like some late-departed ghost re-visiting relatives to look on sadly as they squabble.

It's all become a bit sad, really...
