Commercial WiFi offerings are confusing, with 250 mins for £10/mo from BT OpenZone, to £6.99/mo for The Cloud. Boingo offer $7.99 (£5/mo) global access. These firms offer partnership roaming and some use MAC address authorisation.
Does membership of The Cloud's single device scheme mean it will MAC authenticate to a BT OpenZone phone-box WAP, for example?
With so much roaming, does it matter who one subscribes to? Divine Wireless claim to make things most simple but I'd rather not fiddle with a WISP login page on a busy street only to find no new e-mail waiting.
Are there any users of these services who would like to post their experiences?
