Hi. I've got a couple of questions related to the 2007 hacker edition and backup.

1: Is it possible to create a full backup of my current system, in the style of a fiasco image or similar?

Currently I'm only working with the 64 MB RS-MMC card which came with the 770, so I haven't made a great deal of use of the backup and restore applications, nor have I dual-booted yet.

I tried the previous hacker edition and I liked it, but I went back to OS2006 and I've now spent a reasonable amount of time adding applications to it. Creating a full backup of this would be nice. I have root and I have openssh running.

Maybe mounting an smb share and creating a backup with dd to there would work.. Any other tips welcome.

2: Exactly what does "feature mp3 codec" mean, in relation to things missing from the ROM?

Does this mean that it is impossible to play mp3s, or does it mean that hardware accelerated mp3 decoding is non-functional? Is it possible to install a software decoder, such as libmad and deal with the higher cpu usage that this might bring about.
