The naysayers don't like to acknowledge that. I have said many times that the N900 is not what I recommend to everyone. My wife, for example, would be lost trying to use the N900. But that doesn't mean that the N900 is a piece of garbage. And the unfortunate thing is that people who would really love the N900 are dissuaded from getting it because of that distorted picture.
A buyers guide sticky would have been the easiest thing to refer people to back in the day. As it was a strong contingent were all to eager to encourage any Tom, Dick or Harry to part with money and long contracts for the device in the selfish idea of power in numbers. I have a strong desire for the platform to succeed but not at the cost of being untruthful or betraying my conscience. The sticky could have been general at first and individually hyperlinked to certain groups of people e.g programmers, artists, systems administrators, experimental tech heads etc. Because it was an n series style phone in name only.
