honestly, this resistive vs capacitive debate has been discussed a million times before and as daperl said things haven't changed. it is compromise not overcoming it. for example one area were resistive is not reliable is dragging with a finger because it's hard to maintain a pressure above the threshold while doing so. would software designed to use non dragging UI but simple clicks be "overcoming" its limitation? where capacitive fails is with anything but a naked finger. with gloves it doesn't work with stylus it has poor accuracy and requires a single angle stylus.
