0x47, could you post the current build/deb that is "working"? i manage to play the vcmi in 800x480 with Zamolxis alternative and with the keyboard shortcuts was playable(in vcmi 8.1 it crashed when entered in a battle), so we could be a beta tester(kinda ),please?
