What resolution would that give? An 800x480 screen is only 384K pixels...

You're probably closer to the mark, although a 12MP camera module is entirely possible considering it's already on the N8. The N9 needs to be pretty much everything the N8 is, and then improve on it where possible. Launching the N9 with inferior hardware to the mid-range Symbian based N8 would get MeeGo off to a very poor start, IMHO.

Using the 12MP camera module in the N9 may also make sense financially (after all Nokia are already buying millions for the N8) and Nokia have put in a considerable amount of effort in order to get stunning pictures and 720p video from the N8's 12MP sensor - using that knowledge in MeeGo shouldn't be too difficult.

Bluetooth 2.1 on the N9 would be another backward step when the N8 already has BT3.0, so why do it? The N9 must have BT3.0, nothing else makes sense.

512MB NAND (double the N900) and using the same optify trick to use some of the 32GB flash for app storage would be fine with me. 512MB SDRAM would be essential as 256MB is probably only just enough on the N900 - 1GB SDRAM is probably excessive and may have a negative impact on battery lifetime.

And since the N900 is the reference platform for MeeGo it makes no sense to target anything other than OMAP3/Cortex-A8.
