Next week I plan on getting one on vodafone on a £25/pm plan, 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb data. Most of my usage will be campus wide wifi so the limit doesn't really bother me too much but seeing everyone cancelling their vodafone contracts is kind of disheartening.
It is disheartening how VF are acting. See this also http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/topic/71...ost__p__467458

Have a look at your options here http://www.nokiadirect.co.uk/Pay-Mon...521/p26078.htm

Getting straight from Nokia Direct for £25 you could have that Vodafone offering, or alternatively you can get double the talktime minutes at 600, you get 500 texts and you get unlimited internet with a 1Gb fair use policy with T-Mobile.

You could alternatively go for O2 where £25 gets you 100 minutes, unlimited texts and it says unlimited internet but O2 are just starting to impose a 500Mb fair use policy also. It's unclear what will happen at this point what will happen if you exceed this apart from O2 saying you should pay more for bolt-ons (very similarly priced to Vodafone though).

T-Mobile is definitely offering the best package though for a new phone on a new contract. I'm cancelling with Voda though as they have treated me like sh..rubbish, I'm off to Three where I can get 1Gb for a fiver on a sim zero package then pay 10p for texts and 20p/min for calls as I rarely use the handset for calling or texting, Three has the best 3G network too in UK.
