Could you check the contents of your VCMI directories after installation? Please do:

# ls -lah /opt/vcmi
Check for the presence of the four directories (Data, Maps, Mp3, picsall)
# ls -lah /opt/vcmi/Data
Check for VIDEO.VID (in capital letters)
