Let's see...

- countless of great concepts are conceived in many garage, labs, schools, thinktanks, companies, etc.

- a small portion of them are developed into good implementation (proto) to successfully demonstrate its benefits.

- a smaller portion of those prototypes are refined to be commercially viable products.

- an even smaller portion of them 'get paired' with the right industry players to be transformed to be proper product(s).

- a much smaller portion of that gets the right packaging and marketing legwork to make it into a commercial 'hype'.

- an even smaller slice manage to deliver on their initial promise to live longer than the 'hype'.

- a significantly smaller portion of that gets the required consistency and focus to spawn into successful lines (sagas) and retain their commercial success.

- etc.

If you think that you can 'create a successful product' just by understanding a concept. Just by 'inventing' a technology, then it's time to fill in the gaps.
