Check out the Nokia BH-214 (http://shop.nokia.co.uk/nokia-uk/pro...&culture=en-GB). You can hook your own headphones to it if you like, or it comes with decent ones with a cable of good length. I use it with the N900, E71, and an iPod Touch with no disconnect problems. If you have it paired with many devices, it may not connect with the one you want. :-) For another interesting benefit, you can hook the BH-214 to a stereo or external set of speakers. You can then stream audio off the N900 which you're holding in your hand. This doesn't work if the music is being streamed in over WIFI though, as you get contention.
