reading the forum, HW compatibility is a major issue for many users, software issues seem not far behind. a biggie for me is lack of Java on MeeGo as I absolutely must have it to access a jurassic SABRE (think DOS) applet that runs on Java.

so, if i'm bored and want to browse the latest on spacebook, titter, or myface, i'll boot up MeeGo, but if i really need sh*t to get done, it's Ubuntu.
Thanks for letting me know that even Joiku Spot has problems with Meego.
I have an MSI Wind and it seems to work very well as far as hardware goes. But I had already replaced the wireless card even before trying Meego. I had never even noticed the lack of Java.

I like Meego (and Moblin before it) because it's very snappy and easy to navigate. Sometimes I like having a simple machine with few distractions. I don't use the social crap, but I installed Abiword and Gimp on it, and do most of what I need with those. Other things are handled by my N900. But an inability to tether may force me back to Ubuntu.
