I'm not going to get entangled in continued misunderstanding and semantics over other issues, but I will answer this.

I have said many times in this forum I will only serve 2 terms consecutively, not that I wouldn't run again at all. I need a break, and want others to have an opportunity. I'm glad we had some step up at the last minute.

And just curious, why promised in quotes? That's exactly what it was, so no need for any suspicion or insinuation of anything else.
