Hi! Yes - I had and have exactly the same versions!

But it's getting more wired...
I now removed wxmaxima completely using Synaptic. There were some packages hold back (some tex packages for example). I then started the Debian chroot terminal intending to install evince. When i used...

apt-get update
apt-get install evince
.. i was told about the hold back packages and to use

I did so and decided to install kile (which also depends on some tex packages) via apt-get. Then i had a cup of coffee and thought about giving wxmaxima a last chance. I installed wxmaxima (for the 5th time after the flashing) and it is now working well. No problems at all!

I don't want to say the tex-packages are responsible for the error! But before i did the autoremove and the kile-installation i tried to install wxmaxima several times without success. Maybe there are dependencies to some of those packages...?
