Since installing the power kernel i get static bursts when different apps take control of the sound. So like if i am listening to music and i get an IM or SMS there is a bit of static (on built-in speakers) before the alert sound plays. Also, when i have external speakers plugged in to listen to music, the alert sounds do not come out of them. Instead they play on the built-in speakers. This is odd, because when i am in the car using the FM transmitter they play over the radio just fine with no static.
So to recap:
Headphones/Speakers plugged in = Static pop on built-in speakers and playing of IM/Chat alerts and sounds on built-in speakers.
No phones, just using built-in speakers = No static pop.
Using FM transmitter = no static pop, chat/IM sounds play through radio as expected.
However, even in the situations where there is no static and it opreates as expected it still isn't as smooth as it was when using the stock kernel.
Kernel is version 2.6.28meamo40
Happens at stock speeds and with speeds set to 125/600, 250/600, 500/600, and 550/750.
Using ULV profile. Have not yet tested on the LV profile.
