thanx mate, very helpfull but there's just 1 thing WinSCP is obviously how I can get the already patched psfreedom.ko in root of my N900 so I just have to replace the already installed one with the patched one actually now it all makes sense to me

there's is just ONE minor problem in my case which is that I have a macbook pro which can of course not run exe files as WinSCP is for windows is there maybe another solution for mac users perhaps and WHY can't I replace the ''psfreedom.ko'' file with a program that can do all this by just going in the N900 when connected to laptop with usb cable???
