Dude, don't quote it!

The settings in Media Converter that don't specify FPS won't work for me. Maybe this is happening to you???

I get much better results converting video with MediaCoder. Here are the settings I use, which are based on the MediaCoder iPod extension.

Video
Format: XviD
Container: MP4
Video Bitrate: 640Kbps
Resize: 352 x XXX (adjust vertical resolution in multiples of 16 to maintain aspect ratio of source)
Frame Rate: Same as source

Audio
Encoder: Nero Encoder
Resample: 44100Hz
Profile: LC-AAC
Rate Mode: Target Bitrate
Bitrate/Quality: 96Kbps
