No, it won't just vanish. It must be forced out. Otherwise we end up in a different version of the hell that was IE6 dependency.

That is the truth whether you like it or not. I think if people don't like flash then don't install it or if you want it install people should have a Choice, but then again that violates Apple's design policy which is to insure that you have as little choice as possible to help the user experience.
I don't like Flash because it's proprietary, which is a problem in that it has left N900 users in the lurch, and it's slow as hell. And such massive dependency on something proprietary like Flash just puts what it means to have access to the "Web" in Adobe's pocket, which is as bad, if not worse, than it being in Microsofts.
