I don't like Flash because it's proprietary, which is a problem in that it has left N900 users in the lurch, and it's slow as hell. And such massive dependency on something proprietary like Flash just puts what it means to have access to the "Web" in Adobe's pocket, which is as bad, if not worse, than it being in Microsofts.
Why should Flash be forced out, if you don't want use it don't install. If you don't want to develop using flash then develop using Java or Silverlight. People seem to think Adobe is forcing you to develop with flash or to view well you don't have to. Doing stuff like video streaming or playing games on handheld device has always been for a long period of time, dissatisfying. Well if Flash is proprietary that's Adobe choice because they developed the software. Arguments against Flash aren't argument in favor of HTML5 there are many HTML5 games/applications that require courser or Keyboard input. HTML5 usually runs just a slow and crashes as much as Flash if not more.
