Update: I've read in a forum that a user has pushed data from his Captivate (Galaxy S) to a compliant TV. The TV automatically started playing back the content!

If true, this confirms that the Galaxy S (and likely the Tab by implication) should act as a DMC! This is A HUGE selling feature, and I'm glad that it's included in this already amazing (looking) product!

Though it's not without incident. It is codec dependent, so certain files may not work -- I would imagine that this depends on the DMR.
