But then again most companies seem to not provide all power features in one package and thus try upselling the next iteration of devices ( reminds me of the fruit company). Hope Samsung really makes this a super device interms of completeness of features.
Thanks man. I enjoy doing it, and I hope that other enjoy reading. It's like a process of discovery which is quite fun!

The benefit of DLNA is that it's a standard outside of Samsung, so there's no real danger of Samsung gimping the service or obsoleting older implementations. Thankfully there are many more DLNA compatible device (thousands) and software for most consumer OSs, so compatibility isn't really an issue.

As an aside:
It's odd that Apple would try to push its own technology, AirPlay, in wake of the widely available DLNA technology. I suspect AirPlay is quite seamless in execution, but limits users to Apple-only products for the time being.
