A buffering value of 90 secs is probably a good choice (as it should not still impact memory performance significantly). The problem with sudden stops of playback at track change is also directly related to the speed of the internet connection (as I have observed that the problems occurs much more frequently on e.g., slower 3g connections than on faster (wifi) connections).
