Do we need to sink to their level? Because someone else does it, we should? So next time I hear that someone has murdered some other person, then I too, should do such a horrendous act, that shows my lack of proper upbringing? And when I'm trialled in court, my sole defense is "Oh well, but XXX did it too!". At that point, an apology is too, worthless. Victory by any other means other than that by one's personal ability is a paper victory - a superficial victory. Especially when one side openly announces that they were cheating - at this point wouldn't the people you were attempting to convince using the poll be even more convinced that the device is subpar since you need to resort to cheating to win? An open admission of guilt is anything but a smart move. Is winning some poll on the internet so important, so that it can justify our purchase? Shouldn't our personal satisfaction be the key issue, instead of some superficial poll? And by your argument, since nothing is certain, why the hell do we care so much about winning a poll?
