definitely, flash back to the original then open app manager, enable extras testing and extras devel (usual warning) then search for kernel for power users.
Install that (it'll install it's dependancies) reboot, then go back into app manager and install the power kernel settings.
Reboot again and your goog to go.
If in doubt search for the power kernel wiki, everything's in there
