Quick reply of a human who hasn't got to install navit:
Most likely, you need to save this bin file as:
/home/user/MyDocs/navit_maps/mymap.bin
When in Mass Storage Mode, the way is:
I:/navit_maps/mymap.bin
or
E:/navit_maps/mymap.bin
or
Q:/navit_maps/mymap.bin
or whatever letter was given to the device.
