iOS doesn't come with an adblocker by default, and one must jailbreak to get this functionality. Now, we can argue whether this is mandatory to get proper functionality. I'll speak for myself and say I do not wish to see graphical advertisement on my lil device. I believe the amount of tweaks a Nokia N900 needs is more than the average iOS or Android device, and I'm willing to agree some applications are more polished one or another, but I do not agree iOS and Android only get 'hacked' or 'tweaked' for 'fun'. My Android device will need some lagfixes, too. To be precise: I don't hack a production device 'for fun'.
