For me n9 looks pretty sweet...
Some will think that it's awful and others it's beautiful. It's pointless to discuss who is right

One more thing:
Who cares how device looks? I didn't buy cow like n900, because I like her size, but because it incredible pda/smartphone/little pc.
Only women(or men that are not interested in smartphones) will not buy powerful smartphone, because it looks bad
