WTF? Sunofabeotch, I just finally got a compiling environment up and running and now I've got to upgrade/reinstall it all over again?
Craptastically craptacular, that's what this news is. Unless the new OS is fixing the Sofia-thru-TUN bug and unlocking the full-on power of the camera to developers (because you all know we're going to have to roll our own video-over-IP solution to communicate with desktops), and making the Hildon user interface a little easier on the eyes and a hell of a lot more customizable then what's the point again?
Oh yeah...easier porting over of apps. Unfortunately though, the apps folks will most want (VoIP & Video) won't be able to be easily ported over unless Nokia "fixes" the bugs I've pointed out earlier.

I'm really digging the QWERTY keypad (shades of Zaurus? Bring on Opie now!) but from what others are saying I'll have to take one for a real test drive to be sure. Hopefully us N800 owners will get a bump up in speed from the new OS revision as well.
