Again, thats speaking in absolutes. This one was relatively more targeted at the masses, and that was according to plan.

Remember corporations often use Linux and open source as R&D playground.
I did take all that into account. My comment was aimed to those people who seem to think that, if not for its "shortcomings", N900 could have sold as well as iPhone (anything else and its a failure). Personally I don't think that was ever possible, regardless of how good sw quality or level of support etc. Nokia had provided. Back when Communicator dominated, it was basically the only practical choice if you wanted to get certain things done with ease, and thus almost "automatically" grabbed a big part of the market - its not possible for any single device to get to that position anymore, there will always be more choice on devices that get the job done.
