Erm.. What about reporting the error to the author of Hermes (Jaffa) and looking for a way to fix the bug, so you can continue to use Hermes? It's not like apps are set in stone and they can't be fixed or updated, you know Just make sure you included as much info as possible in your bug report (the exact error message, any output on the Terminal, etc..).
