I've tested 3 of alternate email clients, all of them are too complicated for mobile device where I need fast access like in Modest. I do not find any solution for downloading emails with full attachements - this is major problem when I use GPRS connection all the time. I did not even think that someone could leave such big mistake from the begining without any real solution in upgrade to Fremantle 1.2...
