It's still too soon to really modernising HTML5 for mobile device. Even an every consumer laptop or desktop isn't able to play HTML5 smoothly. Mine is not. It too soon because not all Browsers are HTML5 capable.

HTML5 is a long way off from usable. Otherwise Google would moved away from it a long time ago.
