Hello and welcome to maemo.org. You need to calibrate your battery by discharging and fully charging it couple of times. And the battery kinda sucks on n900. So, don't expect anything after calibration. 2G/3G/GSM is a radio transceiver and it drains a lot of power. Also, when reception is crappy, it will drain even more power. Was 3G on when it was idle ?
