My understanding is there is no built in mapping application. It was an additional purchase. Perhaps I read incorrectly somewhere, but this confused me, why put the hardware in if your not providing the software.

Good luck on the free one, I doubt they would provide one to a rogue like myself (Let be clear though, I am not a developer, I am a hack!, I am not worthy to be in the same category )
