While the function of the Tab in home automation is really neat, take a look at that UI! Samsung really is a design centric company and it shows. The typefaces, the colours, the layout are all brilliantly done and not sterile and segmented like you'd typically find in a typical program, but very natural and lively for the thing being displayed.

I hope that developers take notice of Samsung's UI examples, as this is the next step in popular UI design trends -- I can feel it in my bones.

In my opinion, they are one of the only companies that consistently produces design comparable to Apple (and IMO often exceeds them), though some of their hardware does not have the same build quality. I may be the only one to say this, but I think the lines of the Galaxy Tab are nicer than that of the iPad, though the iPad's aluminum is a nice touch. Of course, this is all a matter of opinion.
