Hello

I'm running an ubuntu machine and for the most part run play my music from my computer, which is connected to my hifi. Is there an application or a sensible method for controlling a computer over the wifi for the purpose of changing tracks, pausing, altering volume etc?

I am aware I could setup VNCing but I think this is a bit of a heavy handed method for skipping track pressing pause etc.
