Mitrandir,

I found the diablo toolchain on one of my machines and tried to compile geeps for diablo to find out what we would be up against.

It seems that it will be harder than I first thought - a lot has changed since the Qt4.5. Also, I am not sure how good the webkit/script packages implementation was back then.

Some time ago I tried to find out about the status of the Qt4.6 backport to diablo without much success. I only found a repository on git but no indication of its status and/or when packages for it were successfully generated. I have to say that I haven't played much (if any) with my n800 since I got the N900 but I still love the big screen and think it has big potential.

Do you have experience with Qt development on diablo? I think the very best thing we could try to do is find out is if it is possible to get Qt4.6 working on it - it would allow us to backport several qt applications to diablo.

If you want to try to port geeps to qt.4.5 please let me know and I will try to help you as much as I can but you have to be prepared to change a lot of code and still not have it working well in the end.
