OK, I discovered a solution...
It requires you do it from the terminal (command line Linux stuff, for those not in the know).
Use aptitude (If you don't have it, use sudo gainroot to apt-get install aptitude). Do an aptitude purge qtirreco, then aptitude install irreco. You might need to activate some of the extras repositories.
You might also have to rebuild your remotes.
