Pardon me but this is wrong. The front LED of the N900 can show 65.535 shade of colours. For example if my phone is on charger AND full, it shows a slow and nice looped animation of red -> (slow fade to) purple -> (slow fade to) blue -> (slow fade to) purple ->(slow fade to) red.

With channel 1 set to green and channel 2 set to red and playing with the PWM you can make the requested 'analouge' indicator.

I know this was not directed to me, but i played quite a lot with mce.ini not so far after i got my N900, and i edited it with my phone all the time and i was never ever able to corrupt it
