The degree of personalization should be in devices you always carry. On the car for example, it should connect with your mobile device, and adjust accordingly based on your preferences -- from seat adjustment, preferred music, temperature, etc.
Intel are already on top of this line of thinking... I must admit I like it too, and could one day see a tablet being the only computer I ever need.
