There is a JKK detailed video on youtube where he mentions that he would soon put up a video of how to root the Tab and how to do so. Or was it the demo of Spare Parts on the Tab? Come to think of it maybe it was the latter. Maybe wait at least till that video is out then you can see how easy it is and maybe get a sense of how risky.

I was also planning to get the Tab for my wife and then if I liked it one for myself. That was before the price gave me a punch in the face. If we had only one Tab I can imagine the wife would be very very angry if I messed around with the device. Especially after she saw me mess around with my N900 until I bricked it and could not do anything about it since my usb port was faulty.
