The office pack's free version is even slower to be honest. Unless you can install the android market's apk I don't think you'll have much success with pdf viewers.

The screen can't differentiate much fingers. Definitely not all 8 fingers and 2 thumbs. The maximum I've managed to work with it is 1 thumb and 2 fingers
