Did some testing myself, it doesn't seem to be precise enough to lock on to features in centimeter increments.

Also, it hits me that in order to map even a 10 by 10 matrix one nees lockable detail in each cell, one cell to determine lock isn't enough. Areas of skin will not be mapable.
