As nothing got posted in this thread for a while I was wondering if there are more news, now with newer versions of Memo, QT and so on.
My python applications are (like other python apps) slow on start and I would like to use a splash screen like discussed in http://lists.maemo.org/pipermail/mae...er/021478.html
I can not get it to work with python and am wondering if it is even possible as they seem to speak about C applications instead python.

Or if there are other ways to give the user a nicer start up feeling, that would be great as well.
